Make Money Anywhere-
December 21st, 2009lifestyle design
I’m not sure I like the term “lifestyle design” because I am a true believer than it is not your life you are designing – it’s your state of mind you’re sculpting. Your life is a reflection of what has been manifested inside of you; your lifestyle is an ongoing construction of your state of mind. It’s really a simple matter of cause and effect. However, I will stick with the term lifestyle design because so many people are familiar with it. Hey, I’ll swim with the current!
Speaking of swimming with the current: I have been practicing my form of lifestyle design for over 2 years. It’s a choice – one that I happily made. It wasn’t a matter of feeling lost as many in my family think. It’s more of my proclamation that I reject the traditional lifestyle of waking up, going to work, never seeing my family and friends, eating, sleeping, developing some sort of medical condition due to excessive stress, and repeating this whole process everyday.
When I think of the corporate world and cubicles and bosses and everything that it entails, I get dreadfully depressed. Seriously. If simply thinking of this depresses me, just think of what it would do to me if I were actually participating in it. Not a pleasant thing to imagine.
So how do I sidestep the reality of needing money to survive? I don’t sidestep it – no one can. I modify it. If you want out of the rat race bad enough then you will learn to modify it, too.
Many of you reading this post about lifestyle design know what I do to make a living. I won’t get into the details of all that here because this is a digital nomad tips blog, not a make money online blog.
I will be posting lots of seemingly random things on here – some things that might help you and some things that are just me rambling because I feel like it. I’m a digital nomad and get bored sometimes.
Now back to lifestyle design: This is what I have chosen for my life and haven’t regretted it since the day I took the plunge. To me, lifestyle design has been about avoiding the “norm” and finding my own path.
I always find ways to make money so that I can continue my travels. Perhaps this appears to be idealistic, but for me it’s reality and no fairy tale at all. It has its difficulties, but it also has its rewards that I wouldn’t trade for the world. My ebook Nomad’s Guide to Make Money Online is the winning method I have found that helps me to consistently make money anywhere. My life is not glamorous, but I can go anywhere I want – whenever I want. To me, that is beyond all definitions of glamor. It’s bliss.
